Description

A classic deviled eggs recipe with a surprising twist that makes it incredibly delicious and unique. Perfect for appetizers, parties, or a simple snack.


Ingredients

  • 6 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
  • Paprika, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Place eggs in a saucepan and cover with cold water by 1 inch. Bring to a boil over high heat.
  2. Once boiling, remove from heat, cover, and let stand for 10-12 minutes.
  3. Drain the eggs and immediately plunge them into an ice bath to stop the cooking. Let them cool completely.
  4. Peel the eggs and slice them in half lengthwise.
  5. Carefully scoop the yolks into a medium bowl.
  6. Mash the yolks with a fork until smooth.
  7. Add mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, salt, and pepper to the mashed yolks. Mix until well combined and creamy.
  8. Spoon or pipe the yolk mixture back into the egg white halves.
  9. Garnish with paprika before serving.

Notes

  • For perfectly cooked hard-boiled eggs, don’t overcook them.
  • Adjust the amount of mayonnaise and mustard to your personal preference.
  • For a smoother filling, you can press the yolks through a fine-mesh sieve.
  • Chilled deviled eggs are best served cold.
