Description
A quick and easy recipe for a creamy and delicious Velveeta cheese dip, perfect for parties and gatherings.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 (16 ounce) package Velveeta cheese, cut into cubes
- 1 (10 ounce) can Ro-Tel diced tomatoes and green chilies, undrained
- 1 (4 ounce) can chopped green chilies (optional)
- 1/4 cup milk or heavy cream (optional, for a smoother consistency)
Instructions
- Combine cubed Velveeta cheese and undrained Ro-Tel tomatoes and green chilies in a medium saucepan. If using, add the chopped green chilies.
- Heat over medium-low heat, stirring occasionally, until the Velveeta is completely melted and the mixture is smooth.
- If a smoother consistency is desired, stir in milk or heavy cream until well combined.
- Serve immediately with your favorite dippers such as tortilla chips, crackers, or vegetable sticks.
Notes
- For a spicier dip, use a “hot” variety of Ro-Tel or add a pinch of cayenne pepper.
- This dip can also be made in a slow cooker on the “warm” setting. Combine ingredients and let heat through, stirring occasionally.
- Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat gently on the stovetop or in the microwave.
